Services and Fees

What to Expect:

After the initial consultation and we both decide that I will be a good fit for you, we’ll schedule the initial session. I will send you the paperwork to complete electronically before the first session. During your first session, we will review the paperwork to make sure you understand your rights to privacy. During the first session, we’re just focusing on getting to know each other better. I will ask you some questions to help me understand why you chose to come to therapy. You may have some concerns and be nervous to talk about the issues that brought you in. I get that, talking to a stranger can feel uncomfortable. You get to control the pace that you share things with me. It takes time to build trust and I want you to take your time.

I won’t “phone it in” as your therapist but I also promise that I’m not Dr. Melfi from the Sopranos. I like to keep things real and put my hands in the dirt with you, so to speak. I tend to have a very dynamic but warm style. You can also expect a lot of laughter!

Fees and Cancellation Policy

I take insurance through a company called Alma. The insurances I currently accept are Blue Cross Blue Shield IL. PPO, Blue Choice PPO, Aetna, Optum/United Health, Cigna and Cofinity. Sessions are currently conducted online.

Session Fees: $175 per session (if not using insurance)

* I reserve the right to charge a lesser fee due to financial circumstances

Forms of Payment: I accept major debit and credit cards through Square. Please note that the session will be charged the day of the session.

Cancellation Policy:

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If a session is cancelled the day before, the fee is $50. If it’s cancelled the same day, the fee is $85.  The only exception to this would be if there’s an emergency or you are seriously ill.

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment by texting me—630-474-8098. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment (I will call you), it will be treated as a “no show” and you will be charged the full fee.

Good Faith/No Surprises Act:

A Good Faith Estimate will be provided with the expected costs of services if you are not using insurance.
